JMRI 2.10 - Production release

If you've never installed a version of this program before, please read the installation guide (on the left) for your computer type and layout hardware. They will show you how to install the things that are needed before the program will run.

JMRI Developer Release 2.9.10

Test version 2.9.10 was made available on July 11, 2010.

JMRI 2.9.10 contained small fixes and updates to recent problems.

• Many improvements to local and WiFi-attached throttles
• Multiple small improvements to operations
• Several new decoder definitions

JMRI Developer Release 2.9.8

Test version 2.9.8 was made available on June 13, 2010.

Some key changes include

• Several improvements for remote (iPhone, Android) throttles
• A new preference lets you specify where your user files are stored.
• Several improvements to how windows use screen space.

Test version 2.9.7 was made available on May 29, 2010.

• Multiple improvements to throttles
• Improved LocoNet ID monitoring

JMRI Developer Release 2.9.6

Test version 2.9.6 was made available on May 11, 2010.

• Improvements in several automating-running tools:
  • Dispatcher

• Improvements to how pulse-output (solenoid coil) turnouts are handled through Lenz systems.

JMRI Developer Release 2.9.5

Test version 2.9.5 was made available on April 11, 2010.

Some key changes include

• Many improvements and fixes to throttles
• You can have more than one LocoNet connection, for example one for signals and another for throttle connections
• A new preferences dialog that's simpler to use
• AutoDispatcher script now included
• Easier dialogs for adding sensors and turnouts

JMRI Developer Release 2.9.4

Test version 2.9.4 was made available on February 21, 2010.

Some key changes include

• A new "virtual" connection preference, so you can try the programs without selecting any particular type of layout hardware.
• Many improvements to the aspect signaling
• Much better control over warning messages and dialogs

CATS

The Crandic Automated Traffic System (CATS) is a JMRI-based application by Rodney Black for controlling and operating a model railroad. There's more information on the CATS web site.

The current version of CATS requires JMRI 2.5.5 or later; we recommend you use it with the JMRI 2.6.1 production version.

The earlier version 2.15/2.06 of CATS (current as of July 4, 2009) required JMRI 2.0 through 2.5.3. We recommend use of JMRI 2.5.3 with these earlier version of CATS.
